It is a new beginning\u2014one that writes the story of a safe home for every woman and child, an unbreakable shield of rights in the face of challenges, and a message of hope that declares: You are no longer alone\u2026 here is your refuge.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Mission<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cMalaz\u201d seeks to build a more just and equitable society by working across the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Defending human rights and promoting the values of democracy and equal citizenship.<\/li>\n<li>Empowering women economically, politically, and administratively, and ensuring their effective participation in decision-making.<\/li>\n<li>Combating violence against women in all its forms:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Domestic violence (physical, psychological, verbal, and economic).<\/li>\n<li>Sexual violence and harassment.<\/li>\n<li>Cyber violence.<\/li>\n<li>Harmful practices such as child marriage and female genital mutilation.<\/li>\n<li>Discrimination in education and inheritance.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Protecting children from all forms of violence and violations, including:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Domestic and community violence (physical, psychological, emotional).<\/li>\n<li>Sexual violence within the family or outside it.<\/li>\n<li>Bullying, neglect, and economic violence.<\/li>\n<li>Confronting school dropout and child labor.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitoring and following up on women\u2019s political participation in elections and referenda, and working to support their presence.<\/li>\n<li>Empowering rural women and protecting their social and economic rights.<\/li>\n<li>Improving children\u2019s conditions and developing their economic and social rights.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Strength of the Board of Trustees<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Board of Trustees of \u201cMalaz\u201d includes a group of diverse competencies that represent a fundamental pillar for the success of the institution. The board brings together academic expertise in political science, broad administrative and developmental experience, medical expertise in psychiatry, and media expertise. The board is distinguished by a female majority, delivering a clear message that challenges\u2014in word and action\u2014the false notion that women are unfit for leadership.
