Such an approach would enable widows to participate fully in public and economic life as partners in development and key contributors to stability within their families and communities.<\/p>\n<p>Malaz Foundation emphasizes that widows constitute a significant segment of women heads of households in Egypt, and that many of them face complex challenges, including limited access to decent employment opportunities, difficulties in securing stable sources of income, increasing childcare responsibilities, and societal attitudes that may subject them to isolation or stigma, thereby restricting their integration and active participation in society.<\/p>\n<p>Empowering widows is not an act of charity; it is a direct investment in the future of families and communities. A woman who has a sustainable source of income and fair access to employment and training opportunities is better equipped to protect her family from poverty and provide a safe and stable environment for her children, ultimately contributing to long-term economic and social development.<\/p>\n<p>In this context, the Malath Foundation for Women\u2019s Support calls for strengthening national policies and programs that support widows, expanding opportunities for vocational training and rehabilitation and economic empowerment, and ensuring their access to social, health and legal services
