Domestic violence represents one of the most prominent social challenges facing Egyptian society in recent decades, given its serious repercussions on family stability and social cohesion. Understanding its causes and preventing it is a fundamental pillar for achieving social justice and human rights. This report reviews the conceptual and legal framework of domestic violence in Egypt, analyzes its associated social, economic, and psychological factors, and then assesses the effectiveness of awareness and support programs provided by the National Council for Women and the Ministry of Social Solidarity, as well as local and international initiatives. The report relies on the latest national statistics (2021–2024) and concludes with a developmental vision for empowering families and promoting sustainable violence prevention.
