Malath for Women’s Support extends its sincere congratulations to the National Council for Human Rights on the renewal of its classification in category (A) issued by the decision of the Subcommittee on Accreditation of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (SCA-GANHRI).
Renewing this classification is an international recognition of the Council’s role in promoting and protecting human rights within the Arab Republic of Egypt, and confirms its independence, effectiveness, and ability to carry out its oversight, legislative and advisory tasks at the national and international levels, in addition to its full participation in the work of the United Nations Human Rights Council.
The Women's Support Center affirms that this step represents a strong impetus to continue working towards:
- Promoting fundamental rights and freedoms.
- Supporting the most vulnerable groups in society.
- Expanding the spaces for community participation.
- Strengthening the status and rights of women as an integral part of the human rights system.
