Malaz Foundation for Women’s Support has issued its human rights report on the state of violence against children in Egypt during the second quarter of 2026, covering the period from April to June 2026. The report aims to provide an analytical reading of the incidents that could be monitored and documented, while analyzing patterns of violence, the environments in which violations occur, and the factors associated with them.
In preparing the report, the Foundation relied on monitoring and documenting news published in Egyptian newspapers, news websites, and digital news platforms, in addition to available official data and statements. This approach aimed to track incidents that reached the public domain and analyze recurring trends and patterns related to violence against children.
Malaz Foundation for Women’s Support emphasizes that the data included in the report does not constitute a comprehensive inventory of all incidents of violence against children that occurred during the monitoring period. Rather, it reflects the cases that could be identified and documented through the available sources. Furthermore, reliance on open sources means that the monitoring findings are dependent on the availability of published information, the scope of media coverage, and the levels of reporting of such incidents.
