Malaz Foundation for Women’s Support conducted a training entitled “Fundamentals of Protection from Violence” for a number of vulnerable individuals in Beni Suef Governorate as part of the Protection and Direct Support Program. The training marked the Foundation’s first field intervention following the release of its Quarterly Report on Monitoring and Analyzing Violence Against Women in Egypt, which documented 128 cases of violence between April and June 2026.
Persistent and Recurring Patterns of Violence
The training was implemented in response to the report’s findings, which highlighted the persistence and recurrence of patterns of violence against women. These findings underscore the importance of moving beyond merely documenting incidents toward investing in prevention by strengthening the awareness of those most vulnerable to risk and equipping them with the knowledge and practical skills needed to respond safely to situations that may involve violence or exploitation.
