On the anniversary of the June 30 Revolution, Malaz Foundation for Women's Support affirmed that Egyptian women have achieved significant gains over the past years at the political, economic, and social levels. These achievements include greater representation in leadership and decision-making positions, expanded access to social protection and economic empowerment opportunities, increased support for women's entrepreneurship, and stronger legislation and public policies that promote women's rights.
Radwa El-Khouly, Executive Director of the Foundation, stated that the key challenge in the coming phase is to translate these achievements into tangible improvements in the lives of women, particularly those living in governorates and rural communities. She emphasized that genuine empowerment is closely linked to economic independence and the expansion of opportunities for employment, productivity, and entrepreneurship.
The Foundation also outlined seven key priorities to further advance women's empowerment, including: promoting sustainable economic empowerment, increasing access to finance for women entrepreneurs, investing in digital skills, empowering rural women and women-headed households, strengthening women's participation in leadership positions, expanding partnerships among the government, the private sector, and civil society, and measuring the real impact of women's empowerment programs.
