Malaz Foundation for Women’s Support issued its analytical report on the reality of violence against children in the Arab Republic of Egypt during the second quarter of 2026, covering the period from April 1 to June 30, 2026. The report aims to monitor and analyze the most prominent patterns of violence and violations experienced by children, identify the environments in which these violations occurred, examine their motives, the relationship between perpetrators and child victims, and assess their levels of severity and progression.

In its statement issued on July 15 of this year, the Foundation documented and analyzed 124 crimes of violence against children during the monitoring period. The findings revealed a clear multiplicity of violence patterns and a diversity of environments in which violations occur, confirming that violence against children is a multidimensional and context-dependent phenomenon that is not limited to a single environment, group, or pattern.

The report relied on monitoring and analyzing incidents published in Egyptian newspapers, news websites, and digital news platforms, in addition to available official data and statements. It emphasizes that the findings presented do not constitute a comprehensive inventory of all incidents of violence against children that occurred during the monitoring period, but rather reflect the incidents that could be accessed and documented through open and available sources.
