Anas Saber, Chair of the Board of Trustees of Malaz Foundation for Women’s Support, said that the Chinese President’s visit to Egypt represents an important milestone in the trajectory of Egyptian–Chinese relations, not only for its political significance, but also for the opportunities it creates to expand economic, development, and technological cooperation in the coming period.
He noted that Egypt–China relations have witnessed significant progress in recent years, evolving from political and economic cooperation into broader areas encompassing industry, investment, technology, energy, transportation, and capacity-building. This development, he said, creates an opportunity for a new phase of cooperation in which Egypt can make greater use of Chinese expertise and capabilities in support of its development objectives.
Saber further emphasized that diversifying Egypt’s international partnerships is an important component of expanding its development options. He stressed that building balanced and diversified relations with different international powers can provide the Egyptian economy with greater opportunities to benefit from expertise, technology, and investment, while ensuring that such cooperation remains aligned with national development priorities and contributes to inclusive and sustainable development.
