Malaz Foundation for Women's Support has released its quarterly report on monitoring and analyzing violence against women in Egypt, covering the period from April to June 2026. The report provides an analytical assessment of the current situation and trends of gender-based violence, based on documented data systematically collected during the reporting period.

The report concludes that violence against women can no longer be treated as a series of isolated incidents. Rather, it has become a recurring pattern reproduced across multiple social and institutional contexts, reflecting the persistence of structural factors that continue to enable and sustain violations.

According to the report, the Malaz Foundation for Women's Support documented 128 incidents of violence against women and girls during the reporting period, including 60 cases of sexual harassment, 41 cases of physical assault, and 27 femicides (killings of women and girls).

The report further notes that violence occurred across a wide range of settings, including within families, in public spaces, workplaces, public transportation, and educational institutions, highlighting the diversity of environments in which women and girls continue to face violence.
